New TXT owner, NOW WITH PICS, updated I just got my TXT from the FedEx guy. WhooHoo!. I've already got some of the materials for lengthening the Wb to 15" and the gear reduction GD 600 is on it's way. I've got a few quick ?'s 1. Does anyone make a plastic wheel for a TXT that allows Tmaxx tires. Without the adapter and stub shaft? 2. I'm also looking to install a bearing kit. I checked RC4wd but they are out of stock. i can't seem to find one anywhere else. Any ideas? 3. I'd like some aluminum shock bodies, any words on that? I'm going to do some tube work on it as well I hope it comes out good. Oh and to who ever started this site. Thanks I don't think I've ever spent more time on a site. keep it up. |

Re: New TXT owner I trimmed my body post support :D I'm using DuraTrax alu shocks, about 16 USD a pair at Tower (comes RTR, just put the stock ball ends on and the TXT spring on)...getting spacers for them are a plus but not really needed... The TXT Outback wheels won't fit T-Maxx tires...just Pro-Line 40 series... |

Re: New TXT owner 9 tooth it is then. As for the shocks. If I run a longer shock in the stock position with changing the canti links it'll rise my ride height. So if I shorten my canti links I can bring it back down again. Or will there be a problem I can't visualize? Build up progress: I assembled the gear box last night as well as the chassis. Hopefully I can get the axles built tonight. Oh one more thing. I only plan to use a single motor. Should I cover the second motor mount? And if so got any ideas on how? I guess I could make a cover plate out of aluminum plate, huh? Edit yet again, I just my GD600, and CJ8 Scrambler body, sweeeetttt |
Re: New TXT owner I just used good ol electrical tape to cover the hole. You don't need anything fancy but I'm sure alum. would be nice. |

Re: New TXT owner Hey Biggy, Thanks I'm going to get JB weld at lunch to lock it up. I haven't even finished building it yet. But i'm excited to start crawling something that's 4wd and solid axled. My Wild Willy 2 is a fun toy but just not the same. |

Progress Well I was making my steering links yesterday and broke a 6-32 tap in one of the tie-rods. Damn. So installed one tie-rod and starting cutting the tires up. |
