Yup...

some of you may have seen this type of design before... look familiar?

a little bit of hard gasket maker to help keep everything in place...

gears engaged

Dig engaged

i put the hole under the main shaft and re-enforced the shaft with a piece of brake line... after reading the review of this mod i noticed how the hole was starting to ream out. this should help work against that. Now i just have to work on the servo mount. among other things....

and yes.. those are bushings... unlike bearings... bushings are pretty much bomb proof. in fact, the older they get, the better they work. (stealing thought from JIA from one of his RcDriver articles..... i think... i dont know - i read it somewhere and it made perfect sense.)

Old bushing aren't worthless? I've got a goldmine then!
I dig that wheelbase jig. I need to set something up like that!

so heres a project that fell along the wayside...

heres whats taken place since those pics.. got her done.. torsion drove like crap... took it apart and chopped up the stock TXT chassis, added a crowd pleazer body, Cut and shut Losi Zombie Maxx Tires with Proline Masher 2K Sidewalls... Hitec 5645 servo, rear dig is still in the works.. just gotta figure how to mount the servo... i may have to build a whole new rear bracket.
CEN racing shocks... springs are a little too hard.. need to swap em out.. custom axle mounted battery pack, Traxxas XL-5 Esc, Integy 45 Turn, Pede tranny, Maxx half shafts. hpi black 5 spoke rims and spektrum RX....... and a parking ticket.

she will be running for the first time at the Bunny Bash on Sunday at Finishline rc in Denver.. we shall see how she does. she is sitting at 12" wide and the wheelbase is 12.5". tires are just over 5" tall and the rims are 2.2

well.. thats what i get for talking about it...

took it out to get it diale din for this weekends comp... and it was driving like it was pullin a boat. just would not go and then the ESC got hot as hell and the motor started smokin... so, i thought either the esc or the motor were bad, so i swapped in a 75 turn motor and a rooster crawler esc i had layin around... same thing.... so.. i took the motor out.. this thing will not free roll... acts like the internals are bound up.. took the tires off... spins freely... no marks on the rims from rubbing... tried different tires/rims.. same thing.. so.. for now.. she's in peices waiting for new bearings.. gotta rebuild her from scratch..... again.
