| This time, I aint screwin around!!!!
so i decided to build an actual 2.2 comp rig... just got my new Jugg stuff from Tamiya (not bad for $40.00 shipped!!!) heres some sneak peeks at the begining of the build.... 12.5"wheel base and it should fall just with in the 12.5" track width per USRCCA rules.. Jugg axles, and tranny, traxxas 2.2 rims and either moabs or mashers.. we will see... oh, did i meantion the $4 torsion chassis?.... and yes, this is all you get for now.... Nice, you're going to love it, I love mine. I am running the straight axle CVD's on the back, and with those I was able to run 1500 elite knuckle packs, 4 per side.

Very interesting approach to the torsion chassis. Twin axle C torsion chassis something something. I'll assume that's not a wheelbase jig. |

actually - that is the wheelbase jig.... if you look, i have holes drilled in each jig for wheelbases from 10" all the way up to 12.5 inches.

Yeah turning might be a little rough otherwise. |

you are gonna need to use Zero offset wheels like the nitro RS rims to get the width down to about 11" trust me from a guy who ran one for a year in the 2.2 class

I've got a set of Twin Force axles that I'm using for my 2.2 build. Running 2 short side shafts,I'm under 12.5 overall(barely) The wheels rockwerks posted up might narrow me a tad. I'm wanting to get some custom wheels built that are 2.2 diameter that have the hex built into the face of the wheel. Also,I'd like the wheels to have a 14 or even 17mm hex for strength. Right now,my axles are 11 3/8" hex to hex. If yours are under that,it'll be a cake walk for you.

I have my 2.2 Clod with Rear Nitro pede Wheels. With just the outer bead lip cut off. And I'm at that 11 3/8 with CVD's. I'm hoping to get 11in or at 10.75in Mark here soon.

trust me on this 12.5 is to wide ot compete efectively in 2.2 class. with 14" gates thats on 3/4" clearance on each side not enough t be effective and no room for any errors or glitches

Aren't gates a minimum of 16" in the 2.2 class? I have been running a 2.2 TXT with cvd's and custom rear pede rims. The rear is right at 12.5 and the front is 12". The reason the rear is wider, is to fit my knuckle packs. Outside of rim to outside of rim, is 10 3/4". I also run tires that are 2 3/4" wide, to cover the axle "C"s. I will agree, it is tough fitting through gates, unless you have just the right line, in some situations. Other times, the width helps, with sidehilling and spanning holes. |

UPDATES... started building the chassis K.I.S.S (keep it simple stupid!) torsion style chassis heres an idea ive been playin with.. it uses 1 stock tlt servo mount and a brace over the back of the servo to hold it in place.. yup... im going behind the axle! It uses a 1/10th size servo with 1 side of the tabs cut off.... im testin it with a cheap old futaba 3003. and heres the body mocked in place |
