Default Pics of servo mounts. Lets see'em!

I've tried to find some different ideas and only found one example.

http://www.rccrawler.com/postt937.html

So Let's have everyone who can take some quik pics. Some pics of just the servo mount and some pics mounted would be great.

Since no body make them in the USA and I can't find any pics of the MTPA ones.

I made a simple mount utilizing a piece of 90 degree 1/8 aluminum trimmed to fit around the servo, and secured to the axle with two 3mm bolts.

Bad Boy, nice camera! Those pics are so colorful and clear they almost look fake! I would get into the porn industry if I had a camera like that!

I finnaly got my F'ing TXT back from the machine shop (he was sopposed to be making me a custom skid plate). He had it for almost 6 weeks and did NOTHING with it. Well at least I got some aluminum out of him.

I will hopefully make some good progress putting it back together this weekend, so I will post picks when I can.

Badger I made a simple skid plate in like five minutes. I'll make another if you want.

rckjeep,

Thanks but I am not working with a stock TXT chassis any more. I cut about an inch off the bottom center section.

I will let you know how bad mine turns out (I suck at fabrication) and maybe you can help me then. Thanks for the offer.

Badboy,

How do you make the skid plate look so nice around the edges? What do you use to cut and bend the aluminum?

All I have is a vise and a dremmel to fabricate shit.

That must be nice. My friend does custom aluminum stuff and it sat for 6 weeks in his shop. Now I get to try and make one

Badger, just give me the measurements and I"ll make one. I've got my TXt here at work so I can use that for reference. Let me know.

I finally dug up the pictures I took from when I had the MTPA Mighty Mounts installed. I really liked them, but I decided to move the servos back out front so that I could reposition my lower suspension links.

I forgot that I already had pictures of my servo mounts that were made by Dirk.

And you can always go to http://rc.badgerracing.com/modules.p...php&page=1
and click on any picture twice to get a huge blow up of it.

The front servo mount in the previous post worked well until it cracked the plastic where the screws go into the case.

I made this new mount to relocate the servo out from in the middle where is was getting hit by rocks alot. This was just a quick fix which turned out to be a extremly strong mount. It is hard to explain to I will let the pictures do the talking.

This is the only place I used servo tape on the bottom of the servo touching the top of the axel housing. There was really no room anywhere else to use the thick servo tape.

The servo does not budge at all. I don't know if this will be good or bad.

For huge close up shots go here and click on the photo to get the full size image.

Badger, does the servo hit the frame when you get a lot of articulation?
When I mock up a mount there, the servo hits the frame.
I guess I could hack off that lower "frame rail"...
