EePee,

If I put the lower links at the top of the axle, where do I place the top links then?
I got a whole day tomorrow to play around with the set up. Any more ideas?

taller shock towers that actually extend through your body. for the length shock you have, you need to do that.

or you could angle the shock at a steeper angle, but that will create some other negatives that you probably aren't prepared to deal with at this time.

i'd go with re-arranging the shock towers to make them taller.

your top links stay where they are, you put the lower ones on top, about an inch higher.

Thanx guys for the feedbacks. I was playing around with the shocks and decided to just relocate the lower shock mount further front of the axle guard. Seems to have reduced the ride height a bit. And the shock angle seems more 'natural'.

I'm Sorry guys. But how does using a taller shock tower reduce the ride height?
Hope I'm not too much of a pain in the a$$

i get a centre clearance of about 4.1" from the ground up with the tyres on. Should be ok right? Also, the top links are more parallel to the ground now.

Default ESC Help.

By the way, wat other esc is smooth enough for crawling with 4ws? Apart from Super Rooster which I had once and sold it since. Likewise with Tekin Rebel 2.

I had the Super Duty in my Twin Force. Its a damn good esc. But the reverse is not to my liking. Too abrupt. Imagine getting stuck on a rock and need to reverse when the truck suddenly jump to life and topple backwards.....hahahaah....

I think I;ll forgo the Super Duty for crawling. But in speed truck, it'll be my number 1 choice any time apart from the HV Maxx.

The Tekin Rebel 2 wasn't smooth when I had it. I really regret selling off my SR :(

Can anyone please teach me how to wire an rx pack to power my twin servos if I'm using Futaba MC330 esc. Thank you.

Default New pics of the V-Raptor

I just like the name
Ok...heres a couple of pics after further hacking and re-locating the lower links. All the links are almost parallel to the ground now.
Commments and complaints please....shoot!

oh..before I forgot

Happy new Year guys....my apologies for the late wish. I just got out of hopital over the new year. Viral fever.....damn....

Next will be to figure out battery mounting position and fabricating the holder, if need be. Then the skids. And then the all elusive ESC. Still can't find a Super Rooster anywhere. May settle for LRP F1 Pro with rx pack to run twin servos. Wish me luck

Thanx RZ.
The shocks are temporary while waiting for Hot Bodies Aluminum shocks to arrive. So are the tyres. I'm waiting for delivery of the Cheyenne Narrowed Beadloc with MoabXL to replace the stock shoes. Already got the 23mm adapters from Bender.

Another pics with shell on. Hacked up hummer shell.
Hummer Shell 1

Hummer Shell 2

The bumpers will come off soon as I'm done with test run. That'll depends on when my ESC will arrive. Guess further mods is on hold now.

Put a stiffer spring and thicker wieght oil in the shock thats its twisting to.You might also wanna put some linmiters on the shock shafts since it might have too much articulation

Thanx westcoast.....will do just that and see the outcome. But any idea if there's a stiffer spring than the HPI black spring that comes with the savage ss4.6? Cause from what i heard, its the stiffest already.

Ok..my HB Savage shocks and MoabXL with Cheyenne narrow are already here. Next question:
Which side should I use the heavier shock oil? Front right and rear left or
Front left and rear right? I'll be using 80WT and 40WT. thanx all. I'm confused as to which part should use the heavier oil cause as it moves forward, the right side will go down and on reverse, the left side will go down. So how?
