The sw3 is quite a bit shorter than the sw2, lengthwise.

the upper shock mounts on a j2 are 6 1/8" apart. ive started building my 14er on a k2-3s tonight. should work out pretty well.

^^^That would be long enough for a 14"er would'nt it?
Also if not, why not make some little extentions like the grins for double J's VS.

maybe on a clod, but a txt will get some torque twist, for this reason the shocks need to be standing up more so they are more effective.

personally ive never been a fan of the "lets just add on little extension pieces, to make the wrong chassis work for my application." thing.

If you guys are talking about upper shock mounts, why would there be a problem? The mechanical advantage that you are looking for would be there just not built into the chassis.

I want to axle mount the shocks. Therefore the chassis needs to be long enough to get the shock upright enough so they aren't in a falling rate position.

Just food for thought, Sparky's old SW2 14ner schooled many long wheelbase rigs here. That was the perfect setup in my eyes.

I was talking about extending the chassis to make it longer with some brackets for the shocks.

Ya best be believing I've seriously considered the SW2, mostly because of Sparky's.

Ya know what Richard, I went back through my old 14'r thread last night.

I really like the look of it. And I just might clean the chassis all up, and use it.
