Size difference. Cool part is the new gear is attached to a spool. Nothing in the middle to come loose like the JB Weld has.

Had to grind just a little bit next to the e-clip for the gear to sit further in away from some plastic in the axle housing.

Needed to grind away more of the axle housing to fit the big dude. Somewhat tedious work...

Greased up and put together, ready for all the screws.

And there's that part. That took quite a lot of time grinding everything. So. many. test. fits of the big gear and grind, and small file, and test fit, and over and over and over again. But, it's done.

We'll be back, after these words...

What is this for? A double prop set up for an airplane that goes too fast that you can not handle or something? Why not just put a smaller prop on it? wtf yo

About time you did this. You've only had those gears for, what, a year?

A year already?

To mount the Maxx shafts on the Pede tranny ya gotta shave the end a little bit...

... And shave the case a little bit. Don't mind the random grindage.

What took so long. It takes like 5 mins to make a post like this!

Hey thanks. A few 14'rs popping up motivated me to get going on mine again. So, thanks.

It's finally time I laid my stock chassis to the wayside, so I need to figure out what to use. I have a piece of aluminum angle, so I've thought about a torsion thing, but I know I just won't be content with it. Nothing to tweak, so I'll get bored quick. I have a K2-3S I've eyeballed, but I think I've had my share of those chassis and would like something different. Whatever it is, it needs to have enough length to it so I can mount shocks properly, and not laid down too much. So, not sure yet. The K2-3S would probably be pretty easy...

Wouldn't the K2-3L work better?

Yeah, but it's being used for my TLT Rubicon.

thats funny because ive got a 3s laying around that ive thought about using rather than another blackjack chassis... its just sitting there, lonely, in a pile of 2.2 chassis and parts... its just got too much sentimental value to get rid of.

You had best believe that idea has crossed my mind more than just a few times. And the new version is sweeeeet looking. The only issue I forsee is it not being long enough to get the shock upright enough to be effective enough.

I've thought about Bender's SW2, as I think it has a longer length that might lend itself to being able to get the shocks right. Maybe even the SW3? Maybe make my own for once...
