Thanks, I wasn't sure about bling on rims, but it's growing on me a little. I wish I could tell you how tires work, I haven't tried them yet. We've got snow on the ground, but I may try to get a run in later anyway. They seem like they'd work good, I like how the lug centers are recessed. I'm hoping it'll give a little more grip.

Thanks, the tires seem to work pretty good. I just finished narrowing first rim, took just under an inch out. They may get dyed black I'm not sure yet. Now the tires should be even better, than they were in my test session today. Plus I kept popping bead off rim, I'm sure that wasn't helping w/ traction.

I just took a test run and I can honestly say, so far, they are as good as my Giant Tracs if not better. I was able to make my usual lines and then some no problem. I narrowed all 4 rims about an inch and it made a world of diifference, on flat ground tire rides on center 3 lugs only now. I'm going to get some pics up in tires forum shortly. Pro-line should change name from Dirt Hawgs to "Rock Hawgs"

The BLING is staying, tires are glued so it's done.

I got lathe motor installed. It's awesome, endless torque when combined w/ reduction. Run time is killer. I bought some black HPI shock springs that are stiffer than the stock Hot Bodies springs, I put one in the right rear corner only. Eliminated a little more body roll, especially when combined w/ lower rpm of new motor. A couple pics from today.

Man, I love the way this truck looks.

Bender, did you change the gearing after installing the lathe motor? I see in your sig that you're still at 129:1...how's the wheel speed?

The reason I ask is 'cause the Scorp is running ~158:1 and it's SLOW. If it were on any other truck there's no way I'd run this gearing with the lathe motor but since I don't plan on getting to crazy with the Scorp I figure I'll leave it as is.

Thanks JIA, I did leave gearing at 129:1 just to see how slow it was. It's really slow. I love the torque but, I really can't bump it up anything major. I'll probably put 18t pinion back on motor which will give it 85:1, as badger and rckjeep suggested.

Alot of the earlier pics and the last 8 pics I posted are all from out at Red Rocks ampitheater. I've been debating if we could have a comp there, w/ out being hassled. It's off to the side away from ampitheater. The local is somewhat central for everyone. Maybe we could do a get together there to test the waters. I've been going there for years w/ out any trouble. It would be a great place to have a comp, there are endless lines to play on.

About a year and a half ago, before this site, a bunch of guys tried to arrange a get together out there. They talked with the people that run the place.....and the event went to hell, as they would not allow us in with our trucks. I think what we'd have to do is......just all go out there and run our rigs for as long as we can...until we get kicked out.

Sounds like a plan to me. I say we just do it w/out letting them know.

emaxxjeremy it made a HUGE difference all the wheel speed I could ever need.

EeePee I don't have digital camera, there are a couple short clips of it here on page 2, PWT's posted a video.

Thanks slbks5. Ya, I did it's sweet the torque is awesome and run times are looooooooong. It's super slow but I'm digging it for now. I need to re-gear it to 85:1 from 129:1, I think that'll be a decent all around ratio.
