re: CC01/XC picture archive - no talking My CC-01, with a Dakar Touareg body from a Carisma RTR and using medium wheelbase brackets. Front with uprated alloy and titanium suspension bits, with std dampers. Rear std but for drop links and Absima 75mm dampers. I had to modify the GPM steering as it had too much play. The front dampers are fine as the suspension/steering geometry reaches it's limits anyway when modified by what I learnt on here. I did modify the std front springs though. I tried all the rear suspension kits, but all compromised suspension travel, so back to std for now. The Absima dampers can be built as 80mm max length and then have the same min length as std, so you gain about 10mm more travel and height. A 55T motor and 96mm BFG All Terrain copies and that's it. The tyres just miss the inner arches on full flex, so that's about it without drastic mods. Oh, also cut/ground off any corners on the underside that might catch. http://i1228.photobucket.com/albums/...psc066951f.jpg |

re: CC01/XC picture archive - no talking Another update, stretched some rc4wd 1.55 Mickey Thompson tires over some 1.9 axial rims, they are just a hair bigger that stock, they tuck nicely without contacting the body, i can lower the body on the pins and it doesnt want to roll over as easy "thumbsup" http://i1083.photobucket.com/albums/...pstk8bvzpp.jpg |
re: CC01/XC picture archive - no talking Here's my project. ... haven't done any body work yet... http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...ps6htfk8js.jpg |
re: CC01/XC picture archive - no talking Did not want to add anything just to assemble, and play, but stock grill and front bumper are far below expectations. Side mirrors, paint and ready to go. Next pics after all works were done. http://rcpilot.hu/users/1761/26822/b...7204529441.jpg |
