I fixed the rolling chassis. Installed a RC4WD 4:1 reduction unit on a 55t motor which required a bit of modification to the battery area (including relocating the battery) and installed a new METRIC 16t pinion. Runs nice and slow... you'll appreciate this, lol... |

thanks. it was a blast to drive too. a bit compromised by lack of ground clearance, only a bit more so than my other rigs, the reduction unit rocks, the grippy tires work really well too. was scraping my bumpers everywhere...mmm... like here: I really dig this rig. I'll run this body until the sequoia is done, then maybe finish a second cc-01 chassis I have parts for and run this body. edit: also, I did some sanding and, impatient as I am, sprayed a bit of color on the front to see how the flares would look on charcoal. If you get a chance I wouldn't mind seeing some pics of your reduction set up. I have been thinking about adding one to my Pajero. The flares are going to look killer on the charcoal. Great color choice. |

thanks. here you go... my battery now sits just forward of where it is supposed to go, and over the motor. I use velcro straps to secure it to the brackets intended to hold the servo in. | |

Awesome! Thats what I needed to see. I was wondering where you put the battery. Seems like a good set up you got worked out there.

rover body is a discontinued New Bright toy. you can still occasionally find them in stores but its by pure chance. I got lucky and someone I knew (on scale) found a few in a store and grabbed them, lol. Sequoia now has layers of styrene on roof edge waiting for shaping. oh joy. |

revised battery location. we'll see how it works out. the battery kept coming loose no big rolls (big hits) in the other spot. |

| tundra body available through rpphobby.com. its too long for the cc-01 chassis. I took out a bit over an inch from the bed/cab combined and mated it perfectly to the long wb setting.
