Default show me your skidz

i'm looking for ideas for my XC to get a few skids.
i'm trying to find out where the post was that i saw someone using a
high lift 350 tranny skid for the front skid of the jero.

if you got a pic handy of her belly, let it rip !
thanks.

Here's how I did mine. Its just some thin gauge sheet metal cut with a dremel and bend over the edge of the workbench.

im pretty sure these werent ever a "production" type item.
more of a one-off, but it couldnt hurt to send a pm.
ou812 (Mickey) would probably be the best to get info from... and he's a cool guy, too.

i cant remember who, but someone cut the front box off and glued the front piece back on to the front at an angle.

Been wanting to make one for like a year now lol...just got to it a day ago. Its in its rough shape now I still dont like the look of it so I am gonna have to cut some off to make a nicer skid shape...and drill some holes.
While we are on the skid topic...I see a lot of skids with holes in them...whats the purpose? For weight reduction? I would think in 1/10 scale the holes would get hung up on rocks etc...

That was probably mine. I took the skid leftover from my hilux kit cut it down to fit the front of my jero after chopping the front down. I don't have a way to post a pic but it is in my build thread on scale4x4 same username there if you want to search it.

Is this what you mean?

I did some creative cutting and reusing of removed parts for a more "factory" look...
