Nice job! Looks like a noticeable difference with the CVDs in. The CC01 chassis is perfect for these FJ bodies. Keep it up!

I think Jeff had to search for a bit to gather all the items. I know I've been looking for a while and haven't come up with the correct parts. I've found some CVD bones for the TA02W but not the TA02(narrow).

TA-02W wont fit. They used different stub axles and dogbones than the narrow cars.

I know... at least the Wide parts won't fit the stock front suspension/knuckle setup

Im pretty sure TA-02 narrow and TA-03 front drives are the same parts. Im gonna do some digging through my tamiya dealer parts books tomorrow and cross reference some part numbers. I'll post up my findings tomorrow evening.

The parts are not easy to find. I purchased this set from two different parties on eBay and they are the only ones that I have seen out there in months. Maybe someone could convince MIP to start making them again...

I dug my tamiya dealer manuals out and the TA-03 uses the exact same parts that the cc-01 and TA-02 uses for the dogbones and stub axles. Sheldons hobbies has MIP TA03 parts for sale on ebay. I just ordered the bones and 2 stubs to try out.

http://stores.shop.ebay.com/Sheldons...?_nkw=mip+ta03

they have 8 pair of cvd bones and 5 axles left. no couplers in stock but those can be grabbed up lots of places.

Did you use the NIkko body, or New bright body?

He's using this one:
http://www.xq-toys.com/english/product/toyota/xq055.asp

Has LEDs(headlights/tail lights), every part can be removed via screws, grill, mirrors, nerf-bars, bumpers and also the metal roof rack. That's the best part about this body is that it has a real metal roof rack, unlike the plastic ones on those other bodies.

Love your build mate so clean and tidy, I tried to keep mine as clean but well.. eventually you just gotta hack into it hehehe.

I wish I could get CVD's here in Australia.

I also don't get the fascination with those FJ cruisers, hideous looking things if you ask me lol (we don't get FJ's here).

Thanks for covering that one Toyo!

I am thinking about picking up some 1.55 wheels and tires...

What do you think?

I think the 1.55s might look a little small on there.

I went for the 1.55 wheels and tires and they just came in the mail today. I hope they work as well as they look, because I am loving the way they look...

That looks really good Jeff. Your truck is dirty... I think that is a first, especially for a studio type photo from you

This build has always been such a huge inspiration to me! And it's very, very nice to see that she's still running! I love it!
