Default I have a touareg on the way, have a question

Tamiya kits are some of the most after market supported kits that I've seen. How come the cc01 chassis has no real part selection? I realize that the kit I have on the way is no longer made but the chassis is still made. Like for example, my tb03 I have a buttload of alloy parts for it from 3racing and gpm and yeah racing.

this build was nicely done and has lots of upgrades. likely to summarize the aftermarket support for the cc01.

other than the axles linked above there arent any real direct replacement upgrades but there are loads of things you can do easily.

There isnt really any parts that need swapped out except the crappy rear susp links and the way they mount. They are simple to do and make the world of difference in strength and belly clearance. Read this thread, there are several very simple and dang near free mods that can be done as you build it up. All those aftermarket parts really dont do much in the way of performance, except lower the COG and add bragging rights to the build. You end up with $600 into a CC01 that will not perform any better then what I did to mine for less then $200 total.

Personally, I wouldn't bother with the RC Channel upgrades. The stock pieces work fine, especially after a little bit of modding. The only upgrade that I would suggest would be some TA-02 universals for the front driveline. They can be kinda hard to find.

my touareg showed, gonna do a build thread right after I moved at the end of the month, I picked up from the source (formerly Canadian radio shack) for $7 a 2004 black H2 Hardbody with lights, there was no rx or box. but the motor in it was piece for piece, down to the metal shield plate on the can side and crappy white fan, a 21t titan 550, same as the emaxx motor. 7 bux0rz, w00t.
Oh yeah, I bought it for the body, I'll post a phone pic of it tomorrow
