Wonder if #53115 will work ?

Since it says : Tamiya (#53115) - Tamiya TA02/TL01 Front Universal Shaft Set [53115]

any input would be appreciated.

Welcome to the world of tamiya and the homonym slop!

Don't sweat about it too much, it isn't worth it. Some people racing the tamiya cars will swear on their life if you remove all slop the cars don't handle anymore. I have tried like you in the past to remove all slop, use only quality balljoints, etc and I managed to get it to my liking. But in the end, the result is the same (i.e. a cheap kit). The moral is this is not racing, take the kits for what they are, don't try to make them into top performers when they're meant for bashing.

If you look even at kits such as the TRF TC kits they still have slop which is unbelivable, but true. It's a joke when you obsess about shock rebound to discover the slop in the shock mounts is nullifying your efforts entirely. As for the "cheap" (they don't seem cheap to me) kits the slop is so bad, it looks like the whole car sucks its wheels under when you pick it up.

Enjoy!

Glad you found it useful. It was made back in the days before there was GPM support for the CC-01. It took me a long time to source all of my aluminum and MIP parts LOL
