well i had to pick one up before they started getting hard to find and expensive. built it and threw some paint on last night. installed an HPI gru with a 55 turn motor. plan on getting some new tires but i'm gonna wait to see what 1.55 come in the near future. well anyways heres a pic of probably the best paintjob ive managed to do. still need to paint the lights though |

Looks great so far, like the aluminum work on the front, looks great. Screw the GRU's, run a 65 or 75 turn motor and you will be golden. Slow enuff to creep along, fast enuff to get you out of a sticky situation, like a mudhole. Mine run around 7-10mph max and I have all the low throttle control I could ever need. |

thanks guys and Blackfoot. I'm not too big into running through mud, i mostly just do slow crawling over rocks. i think i'm going to give it a shot how it is. the biggest advantage right now is it locks the wheels if i'm not on the throttle. its kinda nice as ive never owned an ESC with a drag brake. anyways I pulled a set of wheels and tires out of storage. i think it looks great. just needs a little fender trimming and i should be golden tell me what you all think. they might be a little too tall? |

I get the same effect using a Losi LMC ESC that I paid $7 shipped for through the BST section. Best scale ESC I have ever had, save the fact that I can only run a 2s and not a 3s lipo on it, Drag break works excellent and easily handles the 65t in my CC01.

| thanks man. i think these drivetrains are supposed to pretty stout as long as you make sure all the geartrain covers are tightened all the way.

| yes they are. i picked them up from justzach on here. they look great but they need a little sanding where the two tire portions meet. also made up a new little piece for the rear suspension. works similar to a revolver shackle. check it out right now the links are limiting the down travel. after i make up some new lower links i will most likely need to make a stop so it doesn't over extend and try to fold backwards. i will also be able to adjust my down travel by making a longer or shorter piece and of course a new flex shot |

Sweet. CC01 revolver shackles. I think this may need to be added to the must do mod list for the CC01. Nice.

well heres a small update. finished mounting the electronics and took it out for a spin. first i found that after adding more suspension travel and added steering throw that the dogbones will pop out on the knuckle side. so i just moved the rubber O-rings from the knuckle side to the diff side. seemed to do fine after that. second the rear bumper hangs up on everything. not sure what i'm going to do about that. third. the lower suspension links hang up on everything. easy fix i just need to do it fourth. the HPI gru is way too slow with a 55t. and here's a few pics of its first outing. nothing fancy and the sealed electronics |
