Well I did some reading on the threads you posted. I got to thinking......And I didn't see this posted anywhere.....

I have several RS4 parts cars laying around from a drag car build. So I pulled out a RS4 Super chassis. It looked like it might work so............... After pulling the rear and front CVD's out of it and swapping the dog bones and cups on the front to rear. One was shorter, one was longer so I had to swap them to get them to work. I also used the steering knuckles off the RS4 as well......PERFECT FIT So HPI parts on the Tamiya with no mods needed Steering throw is better as well! Picts.....

Great thing about this mod is the parts are very easy to find

Now to do the other side. Then start thinking about the rear lower links and shock mount.

BTW, that's touring car shock springs and retainer on the stock shocks. Fit's good, they are a little stiffer but work great!

not much, nothing more than the weight of my 1.9'er..:? bought 2 replacement boxes just incase, but damn a 3racing winch is performing better so far, I hope once I get it fixed it can prove itself.

awesome find, makes me wish I still had my cc

Great find. I looked at my RS4 stuff a few times wondering if it would work or not, but never bothered to actually try it... Now if I break my MIPs I have back ups. I have TONS of RS4 parts

Yep. And the front knuckle of course. The rear shaft is a little shorter, the front is just a tab to long.

Do you know if the CV bone shafts are the Narrow or the Wide ones?

I found these measurements....

Rear Narrow....42.55mm or 1.7145"
Rear Wide.....49.28mm or 1.94"
Front Narrow.....45.9mm or 1.807"
Front Wide....around 2.125" (didn't specify the measurement..just showed against a ruler)

These are measured from the end of the dog bone to the end of the cup
