| Miniwheelers CC01
Ive been wanting a CC01 for about a year but I havent had the extra time/money so I picked this up in trade for my old WK scaler and cash. With the rainy days here and less day light the build begins I tore it down to the pan, cleaned it up in the kitchen sink and installed a 1050kv outrunner with a 10t pinnion along with an old hacked up GD600 I did a little work on the front suspension. standard traxxas rod end upgrade then reground the outer drive cups for more clearance to allow for sharper steering. After that I made some zero ackerman adapters for the front knuckels to get the outside tire turning as sharp as the inside Out back everything but the rear axle and shocks was dumpster food. Pic shows new lower likn/shock mount. Bottom view nice and smoooooth The upper link mount axle truss. It ties into the lower link mounts and the axle in 3 places to make it bomb proof. Thats it for now |

Ok.....havent done much with this for a while. extra time and money has been in short supply lately but ive sold some old crawlers and threw some money at this project I wanted a body that fit the IFS front suspension. My first choice was an FJ cruiser but i didnt want to add another to the fleet so i went with the proline decender. For rollin stock i used some pimpin VP 1.9 wheels and rc4wd out croppers for rubber The front bumper/skidder I cut off as much as possible for better clearance up front The angle braceing to the cut up cco1 tub, when im done it will have 5 3mm bolts holding it on. I want the front of this thing to be bomb froof |

Best thing i can do for you is show you how, buy some tin snips, files, mini break and you can start working with sheet steele and aluminum A lot of people use a mapp torch and braize up tube work. Part of what makes the cco1 cool in my eyes is the lack of parts, its kind of old school. if you want the good stuff you have to make it.

Also mate, could you please show us the steering throw with your modified steering? I'm rather curious about how it works.

The motor mount is just something i made up. After that the GD600 had enough adjustment for the 10t pinnion. I have an aluminum steering kit on order from GPM after its installed I will take pics of how sharp it will steer

Finished up the front bumper/skidder I cut a hole and installed a MSD fairlead on the skidder for the servo winch i plan to install later. also added a small loop for the mighty kong winch hook also added a support tube to the back to beef up the corners of the bumper |
