| Wheel choice is fine but hopefully not talking about the stock Tamiya BFG's... 'cause those suck. Why? The plastic parts work rather well. Just add TA-02 aluminum knuckles and some CVD's. Yeah Racing has some good CVD's and GPM is coming out with steel universals to drop into the CC-01 stock knuckles. One thing that you HAVE to add to the list, before you get to far into the build is the GPM steering kit. I'd recommend getting it and installing it before you put a lot of wear and tear on the stock chassis parts. |

Looks good! How was the build on the new CC-01? how is the lexan body as opposed to the hard body? Are the body posts adjustable? Needlesstosay great job on the build! |

posts are adjustable a little there are fwd and rear points on the mount that you can put the posts, give you about 5mm difference, and lexan body only my second so far yet todo a hardbody...gonna pull my winch off my cr and put it on this today i think....

| A note on difflocks
don't bother with hop up part 53188...it's bollocks, as blackhawk explains here, this mod is easy and reversable (don't know why you would?) front diff lock with extra gear -> Blackfoots CC01 Project with Some simple DIY Mods can anyone recommend a good shock upgrade for more height? |

That looks really good. One thing seems out of place though is how glossy the color is (due to painting the inside of lexan). Too bad you couldnt dull that down a bit. Good call on the shorty front bumper. Looks great. I would recommend the RC4WD 4:1 gru instead. Sure, its $40 vs $20 but its much better (I have both). Also the same diameter as motor so no trimming of trans housing or motor shroud, only trimming needed is at battery area (and floor) same as with HPI. |

So I had the shits with all the plastic links in the rear end... and after a few cold ones and possibly a hot one came up with this... **all parts are from cr-01 metal parts bag "C" ** Side-on backs a wee bit higher than the front now...any one got any suggestions? and I added metal front bar and some chains.... |

Make an aluminum mount to go on the bottom of the axle so the shocks can drop back down to the stock location or as close to it as you want.

The cc-01 is still pretty fast with a 55t, if it was me I would go 45-65t, nothing lower than 45t for sure
