Romulus...........the zip tie is lost, staired at my junk till I came up with the new strap system. Also made the tamiya hilift jack look better and then weathered the carrier and jack.

How'd you make that thing? Just heat up some real thing styrene over the foam block?

Looks good by the way

You got it, the styrene I used measured .017 on the calipers. Shaped the foam block to the shape I wanted and got out the old heat gun. Be careful so the heat gun does not blow the styrene back onto itself, you will never get it apart again. Give it a go and let us see how it works out.

Oh yeah, wear some thick gloves like welding gloves cause you will need to hang onto the assembly while you heat it.

Thats cool, Yea I'm gonna go the Brazing route (I have a welder) but seems a bit much for a job like this. I just need to get some stuff for brazing, Tourch, 45% silver rods ect..

Cooler looks good too.

I kinda like the welder for rod, you can work faster and you don't have to worry about heating the last joint you did if it is close to the one you are working on. When you braze you always run the risk of releasing other spots if the heat is to much. My 2 cents.

That is true, give it one quick tac and be done. Just seems kinda scary to sit in the basement at a table with a Arc welder by your side (lol) I have a Lincoln Weld-Pak 100 btw..

Yah, I understand your fear, I have a shop that is not attached to the house so I don't think about those things to much.............I use a Lincoln weld-pack 155.

Little update on the cooler................needed a strap so it would not go flying. The buckle works too.

Nice strap.

We have a garage and a heater (So I don't do much in there during winter time unless I have to do something to the car)

I like how the rack support wraps around the body, looks like the real thing

I felt that I needed a shovel just in case I got stuck, this should look nice mounted to the side of the rack.
