Well, I got a Wrangler just before they discod them and am glad I did. This is the first CC-01 that I have owned and I love it. Have done a few mods since I got it. As it sits now it is running a 55T Integy, Rooster Crawler, 645mg, variety of batt packs, head and tail lights, and 1.55 wheels and tires. Both diffs are locked and I replaced the rear lower links with some Delrin ones I made along with a new lower suspension mount in the rear.

Color & wheel/tire combo go together nicely."thumbsup"

Looks good! Would you be willing to make/sell me some rear links like the ones you made? Thanks.

Are you looking for just the links or both the links and the aluminum mount?

Thanks for the positive comments guys, I will continue to work on this as I decide what to do next. I would like to do a roof rack, winch, cb antena, etc. I was going to put 80mm shocks on it to give it some clearence but after running with the stock ride height I think it may be ok with the little bit of rub that it has. (Doesn't help that the 80mm shocks I ordered from the for sale section showed up today and they actually measure 90mm).

Did a little bit of work on the Wrangler last night. Sprayed a losi MRC wheel white and mounted it up as a spare till I can get a proper on. Also made the CB wip.

looks good. aren't you having troubles with your links hanging on stuff mounting them in the stock location. should think about moving them to the side of the chassis tub to gain some clearance.

They hang up once in a while but not to bad, (compared to my Jero, that has a smooth belly). I Think the short wheelbase has alot to do with it. The whay I look at is that they are protecting the drive shaft.

Had the trucks out today at a place called Quarry Park, its an old rock quarry that the county turned into a park. It has lots of narrow trails and exposed granite. Here are some pics from the outing.

Thanks, it really is a great place to run the trucks. My son and I walked for about two hours (we paused at a few great spots) and we never were on the same trail twice. It is a good mix of forest trail and exposed rock, lots of different stuff.

Well, being as I don't have much money to throw at these things and I don't have a three channel radio, and I do have styrene....................I decided to make a winch instead of buying the 3racing one I want. I hope I can make it look right.

Im not very good with styrene, I tried to make a simple top for a HPI Bronco body and it looked like something you would see in a slasher flim chasing after half naked teen women "thumbsup"

I wanted the look of the 1.55's, what is on there now is bigger than the 1.9's that were on it in the first few pics. Rims are smaller but tires are bigger.

Small update on the winch. I changed up what the winch would look like just so I could thread my cable on after it was all painted. The one I was using as a model has a cover that would have made it impossible to get the cable on so I went with a more open design. Paint is drying now, but here are some pics from earlyer.

Got my GPM steering kit today, no pics 'cause I figure you all no what they look like by now. Instal was smooth but I am not sure that they added any material around the bottom of the through post, mine looked just like the pics posted about the ones that where developing slop. I also shaved a little more from the back of the knuckles to gain more steering so then I had to shim the dogbone a bit more but all is well now.
