no one makes a new gear set that Ive ever seen. these aren't like other spurs where almost any will work.

did you fix your motor mount yet?

You can always use this great advice i got from Mnster a couple years ago when spur gears for the cc-01 were almost non-existent, you have to do some slight modding but it works great!

"Have you considered, doing a 32p conversion with a 60t Rc10gt gear? The stock tamiya gears I've found just can't take the abuse."

seems like my problem is coming from my transfer case to the rear wheel drive.. without the rwd ( driveshaft taken off) i can do burnouts etc and it doesnt make any grinding noise..

i dont know why that gear is loose, i have the cover tightened good

are you running bearings or bushings. i cant remember what the kit has stock for that gear. plastic or brass bushings. if they are plastic and check for wear.

either way just take it apart and check it out

it helps too if you shim the back of the shaft for the spur before putting the gear cover on.

What I do is:

Install the gears and stuff, break out the hot glue gun and put a dab on top of the little plastic thing that rests in the chassis tub that the spur gear steel shaft rides in/on. Stick on the gear cover and screw it down (I use long screws and nuts too)

I run it in scale competitions like this with meaty tires... no grinding at all

Did you open up your back axle and tighten the screws in the dif? Every so often mine loosen up and it starts making a grinding noise.

Hello everyone! I was reading through this thread and i had to make an account just to say this, (my apologies if this has already been mentioned but i missed it) but at least 'apparantly' loops model makes an upgraded cc-01 spur and a pinion for not that much money, and when you were discussing upgraded spur's you found none (at the time), so here it is:

Gears and Diff lockers | Modified Spur + Pinion for CC-01 / XC |

Thank you all.
