If you've been following my thread since the start, you may recall my first crawler, the DF-01. Well I have some good progress for you. It probably shouldn't go in this thread, but I started with it in this thread so here it is. I did some custom suspension work to give it more articulation. It has improved dramatically. I think I'm going to get a new set of Slash wheels/tyres and make a new body for it. I'd like to make a tuber body but will have to learn how to weld first haha.

Here's how the suspension is mounted stock:

And what I've done. It's not the prettiest but it works, so I'm happy:

Hey mate, yeah I locked it. I just packed it with Blu-Tac. It makes a massive difference, although your turning circle gets a bit bigger.

Small update for my trailer. I made a gas tank out of a small compressed air cylinder that cyclists use to pump up their tyres. The black tube is the negative wire cut off an old motor. Not bad for 10 minutes work.

UPDATE: I made a small basket for my trailer out of a pen older. Also made a roll-out shade cloth out of two paper clips and an old mobile phone sock. (I'm thinking of making it into a tent). Got a new winch hook as well from an old necklace.

Let me know what you think.

Small update: installed a Novak Fifty Five motor and XL-5 ESC. Also installed a Traxxas servo (the same one that goes in the Slash). Also ordered the aluminium steering assembly. Should get the Jero going a little better!

Truck looks really good! Nice work

Got one lying around here myself (Pajero Metaltop Wide), heard something about modding the c-hubs and stuff, been meaning to mod it as well but haven't got the slightest idea what you guys actually do on it... oh well, will figure it out eventally

One other question, can you tell me which tyres those are (brand/type)?
Reason I ask, I'm looking for some nice tyres myself but they all are to big to fit I think (I've got the side-steps installed).

They are just Venom crawler wheels/tyres. They don't have a specific name, they were fairly cheap. This is them:

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Venom-1-10-Cr...item335c376eee

I just typed in "venom crawler" into ebay.

In regards the the C-hub, have a look around the forum, you'll find threads on cheap do-it-yourself mods that will get your rig going better!
