| Do CR-01 Bodies Fit on CC-01?
Well looking at RPP Hobby, I'm thinking of either getting a Unimog or Bronco body set which I think is for the CR-01 chassis. I bought a CC-01 chassis with no body and was wondering how I can mount these bodies nicely. I can't seem to find replacement CC-01 bodies. Any help would be appreciated! |

Yep I just saw a Unimog and a Bronco on a CC-01 chassis. I don't know how I can mount them though as I have the older CC-01 w/o the vertical mount. Anyone know where I can find the part numbers? Thinking about using velcro or some strong magnets... |

Grumpster1980, How did you mount the Unimog body on the CC-01 chassis? |

The best way to check if a body will fit another RC is to measure the wheel base. Take a ruler and measure where the nut attaches your wheels to the axle then check the wheel base against the bodies measurements. You can also adjust your rear links to either shorten or lengthen your rear axle to fit the body. The best way to mount the body is up to you. I used Velcro and made my own mounts for the rear (cut up tuperware type container screwed to the chassis then velcron on the top of the container (tub This also helps keep my RX dry and dust free) and matching velcro on the underside of the body, for the front I used a thin strip of velcro on the original hook/latch mount for the Wrangler cc-01 and then used the double sided tape suplied for electronics to mount the other sdie of the original mount from the wrangler with a matching pice of velcro and it holds strong. I did pop off a couple of times in a roll over but after I added a few more stips of velcro to the back it holds fine. The CC-01 land cruiser body posts will also work if you do not mind the holes. You could go to Tamiyausa.com and find the part numbers of the mounts they use for the cc-01 fj40 land cruiser. The dimples for the Cruiser, the Mog and the Bronco all line up. edit: here you go, you need two 9115264 and one 9005741. Those are what I used to mount my Bronco body on my CC-01. Adamsdad, Thanks for that update but I can't find the part listing to order online. Seems like eTamiya and TamiyaUSA do not have those parts. |

http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/ite...uct-id=9115264 It says no further info available, but if you look it says add to cart and your good to go. Thats how I did it at least, or you could just have you LHS order them for you. | |
