how are you running a lipo on a xl-5? my buddy ran a 2s on his and burnt his xl-5 up... he sent me pics of it lol. been a while back ago he just started with lipos and was fawking everything up lol.

The XL5 can handle a 2s lipo with no problem. The only problem with lipos on the XL5 is that it has no LVC. Which isn't really a problem on a vehicle that you could probably get 6 hours of battery life out of, driving scale. Or if you're really worried about it, you can get an external LVC. LVC = low-voltage cutoff. |

nice collection you have there! I also use a 2s lipo with my xl-5 sometimes, just with a LED little voltage meter on the balance plug, works fine, 3s will kill it sooner or later though  |
