Very nice, some great pictures as well! Any other hop-ups besides the tires (they are a good match by the way)? What exactly did you do with the brick? Last edited by Cornholio; 06-03-2010 at 02:07 PM. |

The camera I used to get the later of the pictures is a Nikon Coolpix L110. Fantastic camera EDIT: I also locked the rear diff and later locked the front diff for more grip in loose dirt, mud, sand, whatever.

So you're using the original esc with that 55T? How's the low and high speed then? Can you maybe put up some close-ups from the work on the brick? Also, which tires are those exactly? |

| It doesn't... my bad, didn't explain that very well. What I mean was does that combo performs good at high speed as well as low speed, in other words "does it crawl" or is it still too fast? :p Pics are welcome. Regarding the tires, d*mn... so many choises, so little cash |

Walking speed is good, I've got a 35T in mine but it's still too fast... will have to try a 55T then, thanks. A yes, you don't need the bodymount that the hardshells use, so you can cut everything off. But I don't get the "working as a dam" argument... |

| Say for example that I ride through a creek. Water will get into the chassis and just slosh around inside. If the front brick is there, there is no escape point. With the small space cut out, the water can escape through the front before sloshing around Oh, and 1,000 internets to whoever can spot what is new: |

| Congrats, 1,000 internets to you. Don't spend them all in one place. Quote:
Thank youI haven't seen you on the other forum in a long long time. And yes, it has seen a few miles. I push the limits with it. Sometimes it works and sometimes it breaks, but if it breaks, it just gives me an excuse to upgrade

So I am out wheeling yesterday and my spare tire falls off and takes a chunk of the body with it. Now I have a pretty little hole in the back of my FJ. |

I suppose you could have expected that... the weight of a spare + all the forces applied to the mounting point while driving is too much for a lexan body I guess...

| I had a feeling it would come off at one time or another, but I wasn't expecting it to take a chunk od the body with it. It looks like somebody shot a cannon ball through the back of the truck.

Maybe you can mount it again when you squise the body between supporting "plates"?

Just get you some type of metal about 1" square. Shoegoo it to the body and redrill your mounting hole. The metal witll spread the weight of the spare out and also kep the hole from getting any larger |
