ILR'S Mitsubishi Pajero!

ILR's Mitsubishi Pajero
RV Scaler!
After building the 40 Landcruiser, then building a pajero for my team mate KLA55Y.
I found myself canning the 40 and bought a pajero body and extra's for my CC-01.
KLA55Y's pajero is pretty much built on everything i know on the CC-01. As
previously owning a pajero as my first crawler.

Finishing up on the old pajero and reading up on alot of CC-01 forum's. Plus adding
GPM products. KLA55Y's rig finished off like this:

Chopping the front brick on a 45 degree angle made a more realistic skid plate and
also stops getting caught up on things. Also a 8mm body lift helped out with
wheel clearance and filing the wheel arches before painting. With the body lift, it
made it possible to fit the winch under the bumper.
Now down to my rig. Built with the same spec's as KLA55Y's i decided to fill the
grille in. To give it a more standard look. With adding chrome to the grille and
window belt moulds.

I am really happy with the pajero body. having a hard plastic body gives it just a
better look. As for everyone saying black you'll scratch it. I am trying hard not to!

Getting creative with ABS plastic sheets. I wanted to make factory roof racks.
with the weight up high. This roof rack is very light!

The chrome around the spare tyre was hard. without wrinkles i mean. Also added
a toe point!

Next is a rear link and damper mount. which is currently ordered! then i might start
on the trailer!

Hope you all like the thread. Gotta love the CC-01's!

Excellent!

So much about your rig I like, that Id like to have a go at. That grill works great!

Will you be showing the 'build process' for us less than knowledgable folks?

:ror:

I agree with all the aove. The Pajero has always been one of the nicest hard bodied rigs out there next to the Wrangler and CR-V. The grill looks fantastic.

The 2 long screws in the front body mount(shinny ones with a washer). wedge's the bottom plate in place. I turned it upside down to.

skinner 10-10-2010 09:17 PM

thats a sharp looking rig! "thumbsup" btw how much lift(spacers) you running in front?

Flowmastered87GL 10-11-2010 10:25 AM

man how do you comp that and not have rock rash down each side??

My brat and pajaro have horizontal scratches down each side from squeezing through narrow rocks (or using the rocks on the side to keep me from rolling over)

InLowRange 10-12-2010 05:06 AM

Oh don't worry, It has rock rash. JUST NOT THAT BAD. This is my RV Scale rig. RV Scale is a class that we Australian's designed that you can compete your shelf queens in. Tight tracks and articulated slopes. If you roll your truck its a automatic Reposition penalty. even on its side. Its to promote fella's not to scratch there truck.
As for the lift, its standard height. i removed the 4mm lift. all GPM gear under it! "thumbsup"
