Default Tamiya cc01 Landcruiser cc01 budget build up!!

cc01 budget build up

Try build a rig for under $400 aus that was capable enough on the trials

Out of the box the tires were a pile of shi
So got some Venom racing all terrain tires put on standard rims
Stock motor was to fast so changed that to hpi 55T crawler motor
Snapped both front steering knuckles so changed to to gpm
Steering had alot of slop so got the gpm steering kit
Also upgraded to roadtech 70mm offroad shocks 200wt oil
Rear diff is locked
lsd setup front..pack the diff with 30,000wt diff oil from team losi

Wow, I never realised how much of a difference there was between a CC and a SCX. The CC looks wimpy next to the other one

They both look great!

I'm currently building my first RC, a CC01 Landcruiser and I'm curious what color/brand of blue paint you used. Whatever color you found really nailed the classic look nicely.

Really like the action shots of the CC01. It looks like it really flies. Is that with all stock components or do you have different electronics/motor in it?

Again, nice rigs!

Any info on the paint brand/color by chance?
Love the new pictures. FJ40's just look so good... 1:1 or 1:10.

May I also suggest to lock the rear diff with the included locker..
And dont lock the front as it will give you troubles well I had troubles..
Dog bones keep poping out, turning circle was crap..sounded like it was stripping the gear...
So I went with an lsd setup..pack the diff with 30,000wt diff oil from team losi...go 50,000wt oil if you want it tighter....
