Also: 200th post woo hoo
heck i took my old cc-01 in 4in of water with out a single thing water proofed! never got the inside too wet and my stuff was up high, but wish i had my honcho waterproofed it went for a swim on the 2nd run! (slipped in to a creek) but i didnt fry anything! but i did get a bad glitch cuz my reciver was wet, blew it out dry good as new!

dielectric grease does the trick, open up the case and pack it full! thats the best way to waterproof an esc IMO.
i also use that grease in servos and put the reciver in a baloon, grease or silicone the hole up and dubble zip-tie it shut and your good to go play submarines!

heres a good welth on watherproofing

Also, I hooked it up, plugged the battery in, and tried to get it to go, and discovered that the water incident killed the ESC. It is totally dead at this point. Any ideas as to a good ESC to use? I would like to find a waterproof one too if they make one

The diffs should be fine in water as long as they are closed tightly.

You do realize the rooster is more expensive then an XL-5. You can get used xl-5s in the BST for around 30 bucks shipped normally.

It's down above the wanted and feedback section. At the very bottom of the page.

Back on topic people lol. The CC is running three wheel drive now. The front axle fell off and wont go back in and stay in, so it is a 3WD yota

I can't really tell with only 3WD lol. When I get the 4WD back up and running I will let you know.

No real updates. Still running three wheel drive. The problem is that the steering has enough travel that it makes the driveshaft falls out
