| Torquey motor
Hi there I am currently running a venom 60 turn motor and find that the lower speed is awesome but found this motor hasn't got much torque. Has the Novak 55 turn got better torque and will it be much faster?

Running just a motor in the CC-01 isnt going to produce much torque no matter what turn it is. If you can afford it i suggest getting an RC4WD 2:1 Gear Reduction and then run a 35t integy. Tons of torque then with really decent wheel speed. |

I'm running a 2:1 GRU and a 55 turn motor and love it. It's a perfect setup for rocks only. Go with Scalelover's setup if your using it more for trails and less rocks. Also the GRU acts as a free drag brake. The chassis just has to be cut a little bit to add the GRU.

That 55t isnt making anymore torque then my 35t, Just ask JRH, he will tell you the same. The 35t is making more torque and more wheel speed.

Thanks for the info guys. Any chance of a link to a place that sells the GRU's and doesn't mind shipping to australia?

Would this one work? http://store.rc4wd.com/products/2%3A...540-Motor.html I know I would have to cut some of the battery tray out to fit but I like the idea that the gears are sealed. |
