| extend the wheelbase by 5mm
hello im the new guy in here. i will have af landrover defender 90 body on my 58324 CC01 VW Race touareg, but i must extend the wheelbase by 5mm what must i buy |

I'd suggest you do some reading in this section. There are numerous builds converted to a 4 link. You can either buy a setup like the GPM one or make your own, this way you have virtually infinite adjustability.

x2, I make my own links for all my rigs. Really easy and once you start, you won't stop.

not really a guide...just a gut feeling. Check out some of my builds...got a comp rig and F250. build a jig for your wheel base that fits under your body...CC01 is easy cause your front is already done...your just moving the back axle. You can measure from your axle points (lower and upper) to where ever you want to attch them to your frame. I mount my ball links then gives me a measurement for the outside sleave of the link..then cut your rod (I go 8mm longer~thats 4mm into each ball link) to length. Lots of trial and error...took me about 3 links to get where they go and how long....CC01s are pretty easy to start..cause your attachment points are already there. theres a couple of really good threads on here on people explaining how better than I. |
