I cant get the full detail to open but lets see if this works.... Looks similar to a 32P gear set or something...

I think I'd be game for trying out one of these

Alloy motor gears of 13T & 16T-2pcs

Ive spotted these aswell, was rather tempted but it was just the price that put me off, retailing around 32, so opted for the skid plate, steering link set and ordered a new chassis.

May have to bit the bullet soon and get the gear set, a 55 turn motor still seems a little quick so hopefully this will slow it down a little more.

But, none the less, a quality looking item and no doubt up to the job.

sweet!!! a company finally making a kit for the spur gear mod! hopefully next we can see a bolt through kit with either new gear cover or some chassis braces so it stops flexing out of shape and letting the gears spread

Wow me likey Although I have a 16T on a 60T motor and it seems dead perfect for wheel speed. Are you guys having problems stripping the spur and other gears?

I have had some issues... most seemed to be due to the soft stock tamiya AV pinion gears. I am running a Robinsion steel pinion now and so far so good.... but if that all fails, then I may try this in one my CC's

Just curious if anyone has purchased this yet and deems it a worthwhile upgrade?

Time for a review on this product and i have to say, i am somewhat disappoint. The metal spur fits perfectly in the box, the rear gear meshes fine and there is plenty of clearance, the big huge noisy problem with it is the 90* to the front drive is smaller than the actual cc-01 gear and hardly meshes at all. I was hoping for a drop in fix and unfortunately this wasnt it, they might be better off following tamiya's two peice model or selling the aluminum spur gear seperately it seems.

if anyone has a spare cc-01 spur thats in good condition send me a pm

Make sure you put the smaller plastic spacer in the front which will give the better mesh.

it only fits one way and the front gear still measured out smaller than the cc-01's stock gear.
