Who makes the portals for the cc01? This would be a sweet mod for one of my broncos.

for AX10 Scorpion, High Clearance Knuckle ,(AX10-32) by 3Racing

They are for an AX10, so you'll have to do some modding.

Also a set for CR01 which might fit better, 3Racing (#CR01-26/LB) High Clearance Knuckle For CR01

I actually wouldn't mind a set of those for the front as the CC01 has pretty limited clearance. But it looks like it would increase the width of the front track which would look stupid and effect steering. It would also make the front wheels turn in reverse, but you could flip the rear axle to reverse its direction and it should work.

I am sort of copy catting this rig while doing my own little enhancements. I'm dreading building another set of portals though lol.

I sold this rig awhile ago and after it got whored out on craigslist my buddy Chris is the owner. The truck is all busted to hell and needs new body mounts along with other items. Its been on my work bench for some time now. We are both super busy with other things and I really need to start fixing her back up. Maybe I will post some pics of its current state.

Well After sitting in my garage for about a year needing repairs and sitting on the back burner. Chris and I finally got back in touch (Crazy how life gets so busy) and we did some trading and its back in my hands. I Wanna make it clear that benzoel is not the one who did all the damage.

Its missing parts and the custom stand I made along with body damage and major signs of lack of maintenance.

Not really sure what the plans are. Would like to replace the whole tub and then clean everything up along with some minor chassie changes. Not sure what body but I have always wanted to put a custom built Nissan d21 pickup or a Pathfinder body on it. Maybe I need to start looking into members with skills in styrene.

Good to see it is back in competent hands. I wondering what it's fate was. It looks like the front axles are still holding up (amazing). How are the gears in the portals?

I'm glad to see this back in good hands too. I built a cage for mine and it's collected dust since. One day I'll find a smoking good deal on the portals, finish the interior/cage and really be finished.

Been getting the itch to get back into crawling but with moving back to FL in a few months I have been thinking twice about jumping into another makeover on this rig. But I decided to pull the trigger anyways and buy this Nissan Frontier body and some new shoes. I cut the body today to get it lower on the chassis and it still needs a lot more work to get it to sit how I want. Looking to pick up another body so I can extend the rear doors to look more scale.

The rig that inspired this makeover

I really like the looks of this flatbed and kinda leaning more towards this for the rear end but with a nice wood slatted floor.

Love the new body and look. Don't see too many Nissans running around.

How are the new tires? I am wanting to get a set for my CC01 Rav4 but am hesitant due to the age of the design. They look great on euro and asian rigs...

Where in FL are you moving to? There several great clubs that put on great events. Just depends on where your at. I'm in central FL near Lakeland. I would love to see this truck in action one day.

Thanks man im a big Nissan fan and have been wanting to find a Nissan body that was true to a IFS setup. I know the body is sorta goofy looking due to I think the rear doors being so short. Im hoping that when I extend them it will help look more scale. Its sitting on the kitchen table and when I got home today it did look tuff as hell. The pictures above don't do justice.

Love the new tires. They are pretty sticky and I personally like tall skinny tires and I wanted something I think will do well down in FL. I know I will be in more mud and dirt then I will rocks like out here. These cc01s are tuff little rig and can take a beating so I would say go for kit. Plenty of parts fairly cheap on ebay for these little guys if something where to go out.

I have been following the Fl scale trail runners page on Facebook and looks to be a pretty big group of guys. Ill be moving back home to Sumter County not to far from you so im sure we will be running rigs together. Im not really a comp kinda guy. I prefer to just play around on trails and bash around but will attend the comps if I can to watch and just play around.

No worries and that's a good looking little Hardbody. I wish they made these bodies a bit bigger. I built one awhile back running mrc axles under it and it looked good but couldn't find tires small enuff to get the scale look I was after.
