| FJ Cruiser CC-01 from Alaska
I actually planned and started this build a couple of months ago but I lost motivation and interest in RC for a while..(mostly because of winter...snow running just isnt very fun for me as much) but now after reading heinie's and pardonmynoob's build, I finally found that little spark in me again.... FYI though, I'm a beginner in scaling so my build will be of no comparison to theirs at all But what the hey, might as well show it to the world and be proud of it by the way, this build is for my little brother. He loves the cc01! now I've got an FJ SCX10 so I firgured I'll build him an FJ CC01. The body is the same one that I used on my SCX10 build... I wanted to model the cc01 based on one of my 2 uncles with FJ Cruiser's... (SCX10 for my uncle with the blue one and CC01 for the one with the tan one) The paint isnt where I want it to be though...it's very messy to me and it's bothering me. I'll have to repaint this one sometime... and here she is with my 'prrrrecious'... now for questions...any tire ideas?? the stock tires on these cc01's suck big time. So it'll be one of my first upgrades for sure...I want to stay about the same size as the stock ones tho for a more "stock-mildly lifted" look tho... Thanks!! I'm in the process of shaving off a couple millimeters off the drive shaft to make the driveline angle a bit better. Also got some threaded rods for the upper links. And got myself a new toy this morning! I love this thing...the smaller cordless 7700 was too weak and the high speed option isnt working anymore. This makes everything alot easier! | |

I think those bodies posted are the New Bright FJ Cruiser. The Nikko version is more proportional to the 1:1 FJ. Notice the pillars are shorter giving it the "chopped" look.

The body that I have aren't New Bright or Nikko but a generic FJ Cruiser from a Chinese RC company. If you look closely, the proportion and details aren't perfect. At the time I was building these, I was fine with something that was "close enough" especially when I got these bodies for 30$ |
