Only problems I've found is from a warped plastic motor mount or the top cover/ chassis being warped and throwing everything out of line. That or worn gears, someone did have a set of black coloured gears a few weeks ago that we're giving meshing issues too. |

I found that I had taken it apart so many time the screw holes had got to where they do not hold well, so I epoxyed the holes and real drilled them and added 6mm screws and that snug it down but still wont mesh right I think when you lock the rear it puts a lot of pressure on the motor to the gear I got another one and it works perfect. Must be a bad molding in the plastic cover Dunno, and might try a new gear and cover |

Your 100% right - the screw holes can strip out after removing the gear cover a couple of times. Not fully stripped, but enough that the gear cover doesn't cinch all the way down tightly enough. Usually you'll hear clicking or skipping in the gearbox when this happens. Best way I've found to address it is to drill out all the holes in the chassis and use long pass through machine screws with nuts on the bottom of the chassis. Clamps the cover nice and tight, and no stripping of holes. Not a bad idea to spring for new gears and a pinion when doing this mod as well as the previous set could be worn down. Never had an issue after that. When building new kits, I use 3x10 machine screws on all the gearbox cover screws from the get-go. They don't strip out nearly as easily as the tapping screws do. |

On my f150 cc01 i use 3mm machine screws. and tighten with nylock nuts. also you might want to try an aluminum motor mount. make sure you have the right pinon gear and in the right hole location
