| Rear axle
I have a new axle that I built for a project that I was going to use a CC-01 axle for. The axle in my CC-01 has no side-to-side play in the axles, however this spare one does. I can grab the wheels and push/pull them about 1/16" in and out. I've taken it apart and can't see anything that I missed, so I don't know if its a manufacturing issue or what. Would it hurt anything to put a shim in between the outer bearing and the drive pin to make the axle stay in place? Any ideas? |

Shims should be fine, I run them on my front hubs to kill the side to side slop.

OK, cool. I was going to build a "gasser" pickup using a Midnight Pumpkin body, but the axle is a bit wide unless I use low-offset wheels and then it looks silly.
