Default My first cc01 build

This is the first rc ground vehicle I have built. I have built boats in the past, and have other rc ground vehicles, but they were rtr.

Looks pretty good huh? I thought so, but...

I wanted more..
I had this old leather jacket laying around, that the wife wanted me to throw away. I found a better use for it.

Looks pretty good! Since i was in the leather mood, i decided to make something ive never seen on these forums. A REAL BRA!

Now i wanted to make it real as possible, so i gotta start hacking up the body, so it will fit under the hood edges. More to come!

Cool bra idea. I got a suggestion (if you are up for it and have the craftiness). How about adding a zipper to the leather spare cover? That would kick butt....just gotta find a mini zipper and some good thread to sew on the leather.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll see what i can dig up for the zipper. I will have to do some sewing anyway, for the bead around both sides of the bra.

So after doing some cutting to the hood for the bra, i decided to hack alot more.

I decided to lose the side rails, i have plans for that area. I also shaved the fenders, and removed the rear body mount hubs. those are not pictured yet, as i havnt uploaded more pictures yet. more coming soon.

Good idea on removing the side steps. I tore mine to hell on the Landcruiser body and ended up having to cut them off.

Ok..Update time. I have had a few days to work on this, and its coming together nicely. In the first pics, i have filled the rocker panels with styrene, and removed/ filled the rear body mounts.

So with my Bra idea, i wanted it to stand out. So i changed the color of the vehicle, once i had finished sanding and filling.

Finished painting, started to add my accessories. I had picked up some 1/10 scale Diamond plate from RPP when i bought my kit. It was always planned to go on. So on it went.

So this is where im at at present. Still need to instal mirrors, lights, Bra, and make some windsheild wipers.

I like the new color as well and the diamond is a cool touch. Is it cut already or did you have too?

The diamond plate was not cut. I used the cardboard method to make templates. I myself am liking the Orange color much better as well. Orange and black with some shiny diamond plate is looking really good. The metal diamond plate bends easily too, so i think it was a good choice. I also got the bra done last night, i'll post some pictures once i get the lights in.

Ok, i got the bra, and front lights on. The rear lights will take some time, as i have to paint (the clear ones) and mount them over the diamond plate on the rear. It will take some doing. (most likely have to trim the plate)

Still to do..
Make wiper blades, make a front cowl scoop, add a roof rack with lights, and accessories. (suggestions on which rack to buy welcome).

I also got the mirrors on, but need to paint them. Which paints have you guys used to get the "mirror" finish?

Chassis parts..

-bearing kit
-rc4wd 55t motor
-wheels, tires, and foams, from china (was only 40 bucks for all!)

After i finish the body, i will look at upgrading suspension, and doing water proofing. (all suggestions welcome!)
I also am looking at cutting part of the front brick, and making a skid plate. I have plenty of diamond plate left. I wonder how that would look.

Well enough chit chat, i know you guys want pictures..

Thats where im at for now. Dont mind the marker lines in the leather..they will wash off. Please feel free to comment about my above comments!

Got the Bra cleaned up, and the lights installed. The Cowl scoop, and wipers are drying. Got a roof rack on order from rpp, and working on a cb antenna as well.

Nice lights, have you thought about getting a light controller for the tail lights? You can get one that will dim the lights while driving and then turn them back up when you're stopped so it looks like your hitting the brakes.
