I made a deal at my local Hobbytown last night and just took home a great deal in my opinion... The owner grabbed me last night when I was picking up some parts for another build. We went out to his truck and, ( I was expecting a box full of parts) he pulled out 2 CCO1's... Trying to keep myself composed, my heart racing, I said how much? He wanted $100 for 1 or $200 for both. Thinking to myself "Crap I don't have 200" I asked if he would consider a trade? He said he wanted a stock truck he could sell in the store.... Only thing I have stock is an unfinnished Exo Terra buggy. I offered it with an old Xl5 and 12t motor, and he said yes... So now I own 2 CCO1's the good... The 1st has a spectrum Sr3000 reciever, a lvc( I am guessing) Savox Sc0251 servo, a integy motor, locked diffs, and leaf springs in the rear, rc4wd rock crushers and steel beadlocks... The 2nd has a fxr esc, integy motor, Rc4wd mud thrashers and steel beadlocks, extended rear wheel base, locked diffs, and a landrover hard body. So I am excited, pics when I get home from work tonight. |

Link...Outlaw Mud Truck? - RCCrawler.com Bulletin Board Outlaw Mud Truck? (Shared from UC Browser) Suggestions welcome... ran out of room... Hard to see but rubber flares. The leaf sprung truck has 1.5" rims and rock crushers, and almost no rear flex haha Last edited by lonleycreeper; 03-02-2013 at 10:08 PM. |

I am going to start on the Landrover Lr3 Discovery first. I pulled the body and fixed the broken rear corner, going to have to reinforce and support the patch. Going to chop the front bumper and build one similar to this out of aluminum... Also going with an aluminum roof rack, ladder, rear bumper, tire mount and mounts for a jerry can and power tank. Going to make some steel sliders to protect the lower body. Also going to replace the rims with 5 lugs instead of 6. Keeping the mud slingers. Thinking for paint doing Yellow, Silver, or ... Suggestions wanted and welcome... Last edited by lonleycreeper; 03-03-2013 at 01:41 PM. |

Well if no one wants to suggest a color... I made a skid this morning, still needs some tweaking, it will include some vertical 4 link mounts in a bit... |

I forgot some flex (if you can call it that) shots It has about 3x the flex of the stock highlift I had. |

I kinda like the color now, but a metallic navy blue with some matte silver accents would look wicked, and that skid is sweet |

I too like the color on a LR3, heck any color looks good on them and that skid plate is a great idea.

Buckingham blue, (almost black metalic) with silver aluminum bumpers, and roof rack... Silver door handles, and side grills. Found another crack in the body, gotta fix that then sand and paint. I am thinking of doing a M-ATV, with the other chassis. M-ATV Base Upgrade : Oshkosh Defense |

All the stuff I do ends up being modified slightly, and ends up being my own "take" on it. I really like the stance and overall look of this truck, with thedark blue I think my little rig will really look good. Thinking about getting these rims... http://www.rpphobby.com/v/vspfiles/p...HPI3343-2T.jpg Last edited by lonleycreeper; 03-05-2013 at 09:23 AM. |
