3D Printed Parts Hey, have you guys ever checked out Shapeways? it's a website that allows people to design things, have them 3D printed in a variety of materials and offer them for sale. There are a few CC01 parts available as well as other RC stuff. A bit pricey, but pretty cool. |
Re: 3D Printed Parts I 3d print things at school but the material we use isn't really strong enough for anything. |
They seem to have a variety of polymers available, as well as some form of cement or ceramic. Looks like they can do full color. I need to think of something I need built, design it and have it made, just to see if its worthwhile. |
Re: 3D Printed Parts I know this thread is really old but I have not seen in update so I figured I would shoot one... I had Shapeways 3D print my axle truss/servo mount for my TLT-1 axles.... works great and strong! It was only like 12 shipped |
Re: 3D Printed Parts All I can say is thank you for reviving this thread, Definitely ordering a CC01 Rear Axel they look awesome! |
Re: 3D Printed Parts I know a lot of home units use abs plastic rod? IME abs is plenty strong. I've had friends order from shape ways (non rc related) and were pleased. |
