Wrangler cc01 interior build

I had created a post asking for suggestions, and a couple people answered. (Thanks btw!) But I wanted something really scale, and unique. So I decided to wing it. The most complicated issue, was the location of the steering servo, esc, and receiver mount.

This first picture is where the steering servo sits. Anyone who owns a cc01 knows how high this sits, making it impossible to fit any driver without chopping his legs off.


So relocation of the steering servo began. After trial and error, I found one that worked. Using the stock rod, and arm I fitted a new mount here. I simply made a styrene frame, and bulked it up to drill servo screws into.



After that was accomplished, it was time to move the ESC, and receiver, from the stock mount here.


I simply removed the mount, esc, and receiver. Then relocated them here.



Once that was done, I began work on a basic floorpan. One that would allow for seats, dash, door panels, and the scale look im going for.



As you can see, this fits quite nice. It's low profile, I put 2 screws in the back to hold it in place, and the hood pushes the front down on top of the wires when the top body is placed on. I have also tested the steering servo with the floorpan, and top body in place. The servo has clearance where its mounted.






So while waiting for extra parts to arrive, I took this chance to build some scale items I wanted.


And this one, took hours....





Sam got bored waiting for parts as well.
