| Three wheeled problems. ....
Hey folks, I'm new to the CC but have scoured through your section and found tons of great ideas and info. Armed with this I built a CC..... took alot trial and error setting up the rear end. I finally settled on a 3 link with drop brackets on the shocks. On the bench i get about 3.5 inches of flex.....pretty cool. Problem is that when I'm out crawling it wants the lift the front right tire up into the air......and 3 wheel up inclines... :/ Rear shocks are stock fronts are soft MRC size shocks. I'm running 1.9 ripsaws and junfac wideners... Any ideas how to stop the 3 wheel motion? Thanks in advance Cory |

Wow...... nobody's got anything? ??? Well let me ask this then.... Does anyone that uses the drop link have a similar problem? |

Its called Torque twist. The rotation of the driveshaft is twisting the rig to the side on acceleration or torque application. On a shaft driven rig it will always exist. But, by stiffening the spring rate you can numb it back close to stock.

Thank you for your response. Yup, it's definitely torq twist.....but I don't think stiffer spring rate will help. My rear springs are practically a droop set up with only like .25 inch of compression space. I will try to get some pics of my suspension and maybe a vid to help see what I'm dealing with. |

Im not sure how to word this so here goes.... Running droop most of your travel is away from the chassis. If this travel has little to no resistance (IE a spring) your rig will have exaggerated torque twist. If you can find a spring both soft enough and small enough to fit inside the shock body between the piston and the bottom of the shock, that will help. I have a set of internal spring gmade shocks that i am referencing my statement by. They included both long and short springs for sprung or droop setup. The instructions showed using both springs regardless of setup. Last edited by nharkey85; 12-04-2014 at 11:46 AM. |

What nharkey85 said. Not sure on the drop brackets either. 3.5 inches of total travel is a lot on a CC chassis - not sure I even have that on my monster 2.2 CC01. I think you'll find it will perform better by tightening up that rear end.
