SDI's would be nice but no need to swap side walls, just reduce them to fit 1.5".

I have been curious about the GRU's as well. Anyone have the x3 and 55T in their CC01?

You guys are right. I've been looking at pictures of these FJC bodies on the CC01 platform and the 1.55s will fit the bill much better than 1.9s. For the 1.55s, I will use Gear Head's Krushers. I think they will be a great "aftermarket" wheel that isn't too blingy.

The reason why I said "swapping the sidewalls" is because the tread on the SDIs are so close to together, you might cut into the tread blocks. Unless you use a razor blade... The CC01 comes tomorrow, so I'll mock up the wheels and tires I have in the shop and then go from there.

Me too. I had a CC-01 with a FJ Cruiser body then sold the chassis. Then i bought a SCX10 Rubicon JK. Now I really miss the CC01. I dont know what it is about it, maybe it is the soft tub chassis that made modding/hacking it so easy? I might pick up the "Landfreeder" version for Christmas.

Anyways here is my previous CC01 on RC4WD 1.9 steelies wrapped in Losi Mini Rock Claws...

Good luck on your build Lentsnh2012. Im sure youre gonna have lots of fun. :

Missing the treads when reducing any tire is just about impossible, but if the cuts are made at the same position on the next set of treads, the cut will be virtually invisable.

Here's an MTZ I reduced and these treads are pretty tight.

If you look close at the last pic you can see where the cut was made in the treads.
I have 2 sets of the SDI Scale Doctors that I may try to reduce one set.

Good luck. Looking forward to more on this.

Awesome information fellas! Thank you very much!!

UPS and Fedex came on the same day yesterday and after they left, I quickly got to work on the FJC body and workings on the platform. Weck (a member on here) also included the GPM 4 link kit in the box along with that Integy 85T. A quick review on the GPM hardware... THROW IT AWAY as soon as you get the 4 link kit. The hardware is absolute junk.

Anyway, I got the FJC body mounted onto the tub and drove it around with a locked front end. This thing does VERY well for an IFS rig! I was very surprised that it did some lines that my TF2 couldn't do.

It definitely needs some smaller wheels and tires. I have the 1.55 Mud Thrashers stretched over the stock wheels right now and they are 3.72" tall. The only tires that are smaller than that are the Mickey Thompson MTZ, Dirt Grabber and Invader. I really like the MTZ so I might pick those up soon.

Perfect fit!

Just an FYI for you, those 1.55 MTZ's are quite narrow and may not look right with the Krusher's, which are wide. I would suggest reducing a set of 1.9 MTZ's or sticking with the Thrashers. They would be about the same height. The Krushers will also be wider from the hex out (deep dish like).

Thank you very much, Dan! I think the FJC body fits nicely on there as well.

That would be a good idea as well.

As you guys who are reading may have noticed, I'm not exactly set on any wheel and tire yet. I'm changing my mind pretty much everyday. Today's thoughts are to keep it simple and just run the Mud Thrashers and stock wheels until the tires are drag slicks.
