Default X-Locks and VR01s

Hey guys, I'm looking to expand the capabilities of my CC01 this year, so in addition to the 1.55 steelies and Desert Kings I've got on for scale looks, I've ordered some 1.9 X-Lock comp crawler style tires. (Couldn't resist. $6.99/pr right now!) I've ordered a few extra as I'm pondering doing my first proper tire reductions, from 1.9 to 1.55 and I'd like a little leeway to screw up.

I'm also pondering leaving them at 1.9 and ordering up a set of VR01 beadlocks. (under $20 a set, delivered on eBay tonight.) The questions is whether the wheels can take ay abuse. I won't be bashing hard or running really fast, just crawling things a little steeper and tougher than I previously have with my tame trail rig.

Anyone ever run these tires or rims or their CC?

I've run the rims on one of my heavier SCX rig. No issues. No experience with the tires though

I just went ahead and ordered the VR01s. $15 shipped for 4 wheels is a pretty good deal. Just have to decide if I want to run them full size or not. I'll reduce the two extras and see hoe they look, I suppose.

Let me know how you like them. Had the SR02s for a while, liked the weight of the metal but the wheels didn't have enough offset for larger tires.
