I got my first cc01. The electronics aren't much to talk about, cheapo esc that works well and has a drag brake that makes the high speed rig endo. I'm running a 2s lipo, what looks to be a stock motor, and a hit ec 645 servo. I bought it and found out the previous owner 4 linked the rear and added upgraded steering rack. I'd like to know if a 55t motor would slow it down and still work with the stock gearing?? I've read that some people ran a 60t motor. ![]() |

Yes, any higher turn motor will slow it down...even using stock gearing. If I remember right I have a 65t in one of mine.

How could I get more front suspension travel? Longer shocks? If I'm careful about cutting can I remove the front brick and still retain the front mount for the hardbody?

There are a few tricks to getting more travel and ground clearance out of the front but keep in mind that short control arms like that and short dogbones will limit it severely. I used 1/8" spacers above the shocks and shaved the plastic on the hub area. Sorry I don't have any pictures right now but there are tons of builds on here showing just that. On the brick just don't remove the upper portion and it will still have the mounting area. I'll see if I can get you some pictures tonight when I get home. |

Thanks for the info. I read a little about the mods you mentioned but just wanted to see if there's any recommended front mods I hadn't read about yet.
