I had a 1:1 single cab 1993 Ranger, sold it for something with more interior space and regretted it ever since, so I bought this to fill the hole :P Painted it just like my 93. Right now its got both diffs locked, GPM steering, a homemade stroke extension and 1.55 Mickey Thompson MTZs stretched over 1.9s, I have 1.55 steelies in the mail as well as 80mm scale shocks. Im also planning for lights and a drop bed kit, maybe a leaf spring setup. Anyways I took it and a battery pack up on a 1:1 wheeling trip, found some snow on the top and started bombing around with the little truck ![]() ![]() Stay tuned for updates, cheers! |

I used the shaft from an old shock, ran it through the tub, and mounted the end of the shaft to the shock. It really only worked with the body all the way up on the pins Anyways I did an initial front brick removal, I grabbed a pair of pliers and just ripped the plastic away, it left a very clean line :P ![]() Then it was a charge of my 10 year old crappy battery and out for a quick run (I got about 15 minutes outta it :P) ![]() ![]() ![]() The only problem I had was having a front dogbone pop out of its cup at the wheel, I was able to wedge it back into place Then it was working on my SCX10 monster patrol K1500 project. Yeno, all the scx10 threads everyone says "since we all know how an scx10 goes together I wont post assembly pics" but Ive never owned a new scx10, I bought used parts from a buddy, and Im just guessing how the darn thing goes together :p Last edited by epic_username; 06-07-2015 at 02:05 AM. |

I like it just as much as my scx10 (which is only a running chassis at the moment),but I dont use the cc01 For the same type of obstacles as I would the Scx10, in stock form and I dont expect it to. I can upgrade the CC01 to make it a very capable crawler for an IFS rig, but whats the fun in that, right? :P I use my cc01 for doing donuts in gravel, trails and some light crawling. If I put bigger tires and softer springs on it It would flex alot better :P
