| Unimog Snow Plow with new U300 body by Carson
New to the hobby, first post on the forum. Welcome! Started with the Tamiya Unimog and the "old" green 406 body. Then found on some other site the Carson U300 more modern body. Being a beginner and reading through the forums I decided I should put that on the CC-01 tub (as the Carson model has basically no suspension and bad power/steering/etc...). Then I saw people are building snow plows, so I did that, too. Many attempts later and several trips to Lowes for aluminum, plus many more M3 screws I got it to almost the way I like it. Rigged up some electronics so the lights on top of the cabin start to blink once the plow is down. Built a custom tipper mechanism as well, and added the Tamiya light kit which I can turn on from the radio. Needless to say, I'm somewhat proud how it turned out as my first kit and the modifications I did. Some more details in the pipeline to be done, but not enough time. As I can't figure out how to upload multiple pics from the iPad I'll just keep on posting individual ones.

Slick use of a servo on the plow. Wheels look right too...which is pretty rare. Usually way too big. Good looking rig. Have you gotten it dirty and wet yet?

Ah, another Michigan-based Unimog lover (greetings from nearby Howell!). Love your build! Working on a CC-01 406 right now before moving to a 425, but would love to do a UGN 'Mog like this at some point. Mind me asking how you sourced your U300 body? That seems to be a feat in and of itself...
