Hi everyone- trying to finish an FJ cruiser and I messed up painting the wheels (but I did not like them anyway) so I was hoping that I could get some web links to purchase some scale wheels for it. I suppose they do not have to be specifically for the fj right? so links to cc-01 compatible wheels will work too. I was wanting to use the included tires for now. Thanks in advance. |

Just about any wheel with a 12mm hex hub should work. I've got five different brands of wheels that all bolt right up. Axial, HR and Integy just to name a few. Check out some of the vendors on here. LOTs of wheels to be had! |

I looked at fj's online and I keep seeing the same 4 different style wheels on them i figured they were proprietary. I turned to finish the shell after I got the drivetrain running so I have no idea how they even attach. Last edited by Habanero; 03-21-2015 at 08:58 AM. | |

You got it, as long as they have a 12 mm hex hub I think most will work. Here's mine with a set of Sawback wheels and then with Axial wheels. |

I've ordered some Fastrax Kong's 1.9 90mm. They are pretty cheap and supposedly softer than standard. I'll give these a go and let you know how they are. |

The Kong's work as a great cheap upgrade from the standard tamiya tyres. I'm using Kong's and a HPI 55t and they work great together as opposed to standard. Tested so far on concrete, wood, grass and mud. Good grip on them all. Can't really compare then to any higher spec tyres (rc4wd) but so far very happy. |

I just put my d90 kit wheels on because they were already mounted and I'm lazy... The clearance is tight, but I can stiffen the shocks when I go to run and see if it helps. ![]() ![]() Last edited by Habanero; 04-24-2015 at 05:52 PM. |
