The Lime-a-Bean (Geo Tracker)

Scored this rare body out of the FS section a few months ago and knew I had to build a CC01.

Found a decent chassis on CL and built a 4 link to fit the descender body wheelbase

Cut the brick off and made some Velcro body mounts.

Added some SDI trail doctors and she's ready for paint

Tamiya lime green and some rc4wd scale mirrors.

Stretched an old LCC driveshaft with some aluminum rod and I've got a roller.

I really like that body! Guess I've never seen on before.

Re: The Lime-a-Bean (Geo Tracker)

Here's the electrics rundown:

RC4WD 65t motor. (These motors are only 10 bucks and the best deal in RC crawling I've come across. They take a beating and when worn out, just replace with another!)

Axial Ae-5 ESC

Kyosho 200oz servo (less than $10 shipped off eBay)

1350 3s

Spektrum Rx with glitch buster.

Cheap electrics and working great so far.

Did you paint the walker Evans wheels? If so what color is that?

Re: The Lime-a-Bean (Geo Tracker)

I did paint them, its rustoleum rattle can "aluminum" that took an hour to dry and a week to harden. not kidding.

Interesting, thanks!

Got the junfac skid plate but didn't want to lose that much ground clearance. So I cut a hole in it and I'm not running any spacers (actually shaved the front mount posts down some.)

Re: The Lime-a-Bean (Geo Tracker)

Haven't run a full battery thru it yet but I'm expecting at least 30 minutes out of the 1350. I'll report back.

Welded up a simple steel bumper for the rear last night.

I'd kinda like to know a little more myself. Video sure would be nice.

Re: The Lime-a-Bean (Geo Tracker)

The ear plug bits are soft enough to squeeze through the 3 spider gears. If one of the front tires really gets bound up it will let the other spin a little. (I can force the diff to spin by grabbing both tires, but when driving all four wheels spin on steep climbs)

Hope this description helps some. I'll get some video soon.

Re: The Lime-a-Bean (Geo Tracker)

Added a spare tire and mounted a shackle on the bumper for pulling all those stuck scx10s out.
