Default New to RC, New to Forum, New Build.

Hey CC01 guys. I did not see a DF01 thread so I thought I would hop on the CC01 bandwagon.

My friend bought a CC01 Bronco and I had a SCX10 so I decided to get a Tamiya also so we could build them up together as something to do.

I bought the Porsche Cayenne. As of now it is stock other than a rack from Proline and some tires and wheels.

It is going to need all new "guts" I was thinking of going with a 27T motor but not real sure what other stuff to do.

Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Here is a picture of it so far.

I like your rig. you got a good start. im new to the cc-01 my self. I have a 45t on 2 cell in mine and it can crawl pretty good, but it has crazy wheel speed I think. my next motor might be a 55 or 65 I think. rather not run a reduction for a trail truck. these aren't serious crawlers but are very capable.
first thing I would do is lock the front if you haven't already.get rid of the brick in the front and make a skid to cover it. mod the rear lower links and move them to the side rails(this requires different lower links and some modding of the old ones). add some end links to the shocks with ball cups ect. on the shock ends this will greatly reduce hang ups . and free up the rear suspension more. plus some shaving of some front parts to allow some more travel in the front.theres much more. the search button is our friend not to much needs to be done unless you want to go crazy with it. once again nice rig!
