| CC01 rear diff broke
Just about to take my rear diff apart, but yesterday it was slipping I could hear some bad gear action from the rear diff, I do have it locked. But the gears seem like they are not catching one wheel can spin free. Was climbing a hill then it lost power and would not go up Sure I saw a video online with someone who showed the diffs have too much play in them and they was adding shims to it, I wonder if thats whats going on with mine. Anyone else had the rear diff go bad on them? |

I never have, no. Can certainly happen - sounds like a new set of diff gears are in your future sir.

Does sound like something stripped in the rear from what your saying, Easier way is just to remove the diff pop the drive shafts back into it and twist them if your feeling or hearing something you shouldnt then you know what you need. Check the teeth too

Think I was lucky for some reason the diff case with the small three screws had come apart, all three screw unscrewed themselves, quick trip to local store for some lock tight and it back to together and working again, The metal gears did show a little wear at the edges so I think down the road I will need to replace the diff gear but for now it seems OK. What do you guys use to clean out the grease |

Good to hear it was a quick fix, For degreasing I use Fairy liquid basically dish soap lol. Works for me meant to get it off dishes and works for rc parts for me too |

After fixing that I was testing it out then the screw to the servo saver dropped out, not much luck this week, so once all fixed I decide to make a short video before anything else fails: https://youtu.be/xvYZGJmlfjY |

I do like the repairing, fixing side but when your out on the trail its so annoying lol. Seen a solid rear diff for the CC01 around but don't really need it the standard mod has work fine for me on three CC01's I've had, Be sure to share some outing photo's |
