Yes, try e-bay under Tamiya CC01 Parts These are other less expensive options. |

Check that go to E-Bay and type in R/C 70mm shocks or of you want larger R/C 80mm shocks. There are some choices there that are less than 34.00 a pair.

Shocks aren't the limiting factor in that chassis. Fixing the steering, putting a better rear drive shaft, cv jointsup front, adding more rear droop, and better tires is a good place to start. |

There is really only three must do changes that need to be made to the chassis, Bearings, Remove the front brick and Tyre's. The tyres are shocking like beyond shocking

Looks like just possibly very soft springs with a heavy damper 'weight' to keep the chassis off the ground, I have no idea. What ever it is I want it too Mmm Droop setup with soft springs? Last edited by Drakken; 05-22-2015 at 10:56 AM. |

Thank you, Think I'll wait though for someone else to give them a go before buying them myself, Already wasted money on dual rates which didnt work lol. Might sell them and give these ago, Can't be any worse than what I have now

When you're ready and feel comfortable with a dremel this is what you can do to the front arms and c-hubs. This will allow more steering and front suspension travel. CC01 arms and c-hubs are cheap so get an extra set and start cutting. You can do most of this with a good razor knife but it's much easier with a dremel. Take your time and you'll do fine. |

I'm going to order some spare parts and give this a go, All seems okay but C Hub Mod will it be okay strength wise after that much being remove, Guessing its been a million times before though so tried and tested. There should be a sticky or something |

Yeah strength won't be a problem. You can eventually upgrade to the aluminum arms, c-hubs and knuckles. That will really soften things up. The best things about cc01's is they are easy to mod and durable as hell.

That's what drew me into them originally, Plus fair few direct body replacements too, Really would like a Wrangler shell for it too, There just such a versatile little rig.

A set of rear droop upper mounts help with articulation a lot too. | |
